Téllez has conducted in Italy, Germany, the U.S, China, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Greece and Netherlands, with a strong focus on Latin American repertoire, performing works by Ginastera, Piazzolla, Revueltas, Atehortúa, and Márquez. His commitment to diversity in music has led him to bring underrepresented composers to international audiences, performing symphonies by Florence Price and Duke Ellington, as well as José White’s Violin Concerto alongside Rachel Barton Pine at the Alfredo de Saint Malo Festival in Panama. Téllez presently holds the position at Colburn School in Los Angeles, while also maintaining an active career as a guest and cover conductor.
