ORCHESTRAL CONDUCTOR
Camilo Téllez's conducting style has been profoundly shaped by his mentorship under Gustavo Dudamel as a Dudamel Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic (2021–2022). His approach blends technical precision with innovation, creating engaging musical experiences for diverse audiences. Notable projects include an exploration of Afro-Cuban music at Walt Disney Concert Hall, a climate change-inspired musical narrative with Paxy in Miami, and collaborations with Indian classical music masters in the Midwest.
Téllez has conducted in Italy, Germany, the U.S, China, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Greece and Netherlands, with a strong focus on Latin American repertoire, performing works by Ginastera, Piazzolla, Revueltas, Atehortúa, and Márquez. His commitment to diversity in music has led him to bring underrepresented composers to international audiences, performing symphonies by Florence Price and Duke Ellington, as well as José White’s Violin Concerto alongside Rachel Barton Pine at the Alfredo de Saint Malo Festival in Panama. Téllez presently holds the position of Music Director of Marywood Orchestra in Pennsylvania, while also maintaining an active career as a guest conductor.

"His mentorship under Gustavo Dudamel profoundly influenced his dynamic conducting style and commitment to engaging diverse audiences through innovative musical projects."
